Mr. D.K. Mehrotra, Chairman

Current-in-Charge, L.I.C. of India

                   Mr. D.K. Mehrotra started his career in LIC of India in the year 1977 and has worked in several key posts in the organization including that of Managing Director before taking over charge as Current-in-Charge of Life Insurance Corporation of India in 2011.

           Shri Mehrotra is an Honours Graduate in Science from the University of Patna. Shri Mehrotra has occupied several pivotal positions spanning three Zones and the Corporate Office. He served in LIC’s branch at Suva, Fiji from 1985 to 1989. He headed the Dehra Dun and Ahmedabad Divisions of the LIC as the Senior Divisional Manager. He served the Western Zone with distinction as its Regional Manager (Mktg.) and also as Regional Manager (P & GS) and was primarily responsible for the tremendous growth in premium income. He later led the Eastern Zone as its Zonal Manager. During his tenure, the Zone achieved the distinction of selling the largest number of policies in the country. He has also served L.I.C. of India as Executive Director (International Operations). Before being Current-in-Charge of L.I.C. of India, he has served as Managing Director of L.I.C. of India.

           He is an avid listener of music and a voracious reader of books on varied subjects, particularly management and marketing.

Mr. Thomas T. Mathew, Director

Managing Director, L.I.C. of India

                  Mr. Thomas T. Mathew, took charge as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India Prior to his taking over as MD he was heading the International Operations Department as Executive Director in the Corporate Office.

                  Mr. Mathew has been with LIC for more than 3 decades during which he has held several key assignments in different parts of the country. Previously, as Managing Director, he successfully led the marketing functions of LIC during which it witnessed a record high in premium collection and growth. Prior to this, he was the Zonal Manager of the prestigious Western Zone of LIC, Chief- Marketing and International Operations and Senior Divisional Manager-in-Charge of 3 major Divisions.

                  Mr. Mathew has traveled to U.S.A, Europe and Africa in connection with the International Operations of LIC. He has also actively participated in various seminars and conferences related to life insurance around the world, including the MDRT Convention at Denver.

                  Mr. Mathew holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing), a Post-graduation in Economics and is a graduate in Law. He is also an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India. Outside his professional sphere, Mr. Mathew is an avid reader and passionate about music and gardening.

Mr. Ashok Agrawal, Director

Managing Director, Vishal Group Ltd.

                   Mr. Ashok Agrawal , a commerce graduate, is the Managing Director of Vishal Group of companies and also is Director of Bank of Asia Nepal Ltd., LIC (Nepal), Prudential Insurance Company Ltd., Mainawati Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Global Trading House Ltd. He is also the President of Nepal Foreign Trade Association (NFTA), Member of Nepal India Chamber of Commerce, and Gordhandass Kamlawati Paropkari Pratisthan. He is involved in Trading, Industrial & Service Sector Activities since last 24 years.

Mr. Rajendra P. Aryal, Director

Nominee of Shareholders

                     Sri Rajendra Aryal is a well known figure in the Industrial circles of Nepal. In addition to being the Owner and Managing Director of Trikon Advertising Services, he is also Secretary of International Chamber of Commerce Nepal Chapter), Secretary of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), Director (Member of Board of Directors) of Prudential Insurance Company Ltd., Convener – Press Publication Committee of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Director (Member of Board of Directors) of Nepal Industrial & Commercial Bank Ltd. (NIC Bank). He is graduate and a good orator.

Mr. S.K. Mukherjee, Independent Director

                   Sri. S.K. Mukherjee is a fountain of knowledge and experience. A First class Mathematics Post Graduate, he passed out with 4th rank in the University. Before joining LIC in 1962, he worked a professor of Mathematics in DAV college Dehradun. After retiring from LIC after many prestigious assignments including that of Executive Director (HRD/Personnel), he is back to his favourite profession – teaching - and is now visiting professor in various management institutes including Indian Institutes of Management at Lacknow, and Indore, Management Development Institute Guragaon, and Fortune School of International Business. He has also served on the Director Board of many famous companies including DCM, Delhi and Ashok Leyland, Chennai. At age 72, he brings with him loads of experience and knowledge both in management and insurance.

Mr. P.R. Mishra, CEO & Director

                    Present Director & CEO of the Company, Sri. P. R. Mishra has taken over charge 23rd May 2011. He is a Post Graduate in Applied and Analytical Economics. He joined as XVIth Batch Direct Recruited Officer in L.I.C. of India and worked in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal in administrative and Marketing Assignments. He was Sr. D.M. (I/C) of Kolkata Suburban Division & Kolkata Metropolitan Division-I before his taking over charge as CEO, L.I.C. (Nepal) Ltd.

                    Under his Leadership Kolkata Metropolitan division-I occupied No-I position in FPI on All India Basis in 2009-10 & 2010-11 conseqcutively. He is an avid reader and good orator. His motto is to create more long term relationship with the people and get the best out of everyone associated with him.
