(Appointed on 29th October, 2025) Mrs. Shubhangi Soman retired in March 2022 as the CFO and Executive Director of LIC of India after an accomplished 37-year career. She joined LIC in 1985 as a Chartered Accountant and later served as a Research Associate at the National Insurance Academy, presenting research in national and international forums.
Over the years, she held several key leadership roles including Regional Manager (F&A), Chief (Investment Operations), Chief (Finance & Accounts), Executive Director (F&A), and CFO, overseeing financial operations, taxation, statutory audits, PF investments, and corporate reporting.
In 2020, she led LIC’s financial preparations for its landmark IPO, working closely with regulators, advisors, and major committees. Mrs. Soman brings extensive expertise in finance, insurance operations, and governance to the Board of LIC Nepal.
